Well, as our tag lines says, we are “A Fraternal Order of Automotive Anarchists” who are “Just a little Sketchy”. But in reality, we are more than that, and it’s hard to describe. We represent the desire to get back to days of the hot rodding industry. We want to build stuff out of what we have lying around. We want to highlight and encourage others who are putting on welding gloves, sticking up their middle fingers, and defying the norm. #TheBeatnikBrotherhood is more than a car club, it is more than a lifestyle. It’s an ideal. We step out of the pigeon-holes, melding new and old school together, creating a hybrid that transcends generations, that supersedes description.
I came up with Idea for #TheBeatnikBrotherhood while doodling in my college notebooks, though I had been drawing cars on my homework since kindergarten. I revel in anything rusty, but realize that the parts needed for a period correct car are often hard to come by, so I focus my imagination on renderings of more modern cars that adhere to the basic hot rod principles… using what we have available to make them lighter, faster, or better looking.
